Institute of Technical Information for Building Materials Industry of China (ITIBMIC) is research and consultative agency under State of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), and China Building Materials Federation, specializing in information of science technology, economy and trade for building materials industry in China.

ITIBMIC consists of a series of special information research departments, such as Cement, Glass, Ceramics, New Building Materials, Non-metallic Centre, Networks Developing Centre, and Editorial Departments of Cement and Building Materials Industry Information. ITIBMIC is equipped with modern information technologies and facilities. Meanwhile, it is the organizer of eight national specialized information networks in building materials industry, whose members are distributed all over China. There are about 160 staff members with senior, medium and junior professional titles in the institute, including technical personnel of most specialties in building materials industry and specialists of mechanical engineering, automation, computer, management, etc., interpreters of different foreign languages covering English, Japanese, German, Russian, Spanish, Korean, and Italian, etc., and editors and some other information theoretical research staffs. The current President is Mr. Wang Zheng.

Since its establishment in 1958, ITIBMIC has published about 1000 reports on varities of topics, such as macroeconomic operation of building materials industry, market dynamic analysis, business behavior, product, technology and equipment investigation, accomplished more than 1000 research projects on soft science and developed various computer databases. Some of these achievements were awarded by the government. ITIBMIC provides dozens of research reports and information to administrative authorities on building materials industry each year.
