Xi'an XD Electrical Material Co., Ltd., established in 1958, a subsidiary of XD group, is one of 156 key projects during the first five-year Plan in our country, It is the large-type backbone company for manufacturing the electrical insulating material at home. And the products includes seven categories which are laminate products\filament wound and rolling products\copper clad laminate\insulating varnish and resin\mica products\composite material and VPI products in all about 150 kinds. We have undertook the research, development and production of insulating material for national key projects such as defense industry\aircraft \large-type power generation, transmission and distribution station as well as Three Gorges Station etc for many years. The company is authorized the center of quality surveillance and examination of electrical insulating products in Northwest area. Thirteen kinds products have won Country\Province and Xi'an City's prize, three products have got "UL certificate" and about twenty products are manufactured referring to IEC standards. Laminate products which has been successfully used in country's key projects such as "Shen Zhou Fifth" manned spacecraft and long-distance missile etc, and won several prize issuing by Aerospace Headquarter. 133C core plate varnish replacing the imported one was used in 700 MW generation groups for Three Gorges project and has filled the domestic blank.

Our many products have been widely used in Dongfang Electric Machinery\Harbin Electric Machinery and Shanghai Electric Machinery. VPI products\casting products and laminate products have been used on transmission and distribution equipments for Three Gorges project by Xi'an XD Transformer Co., Ltd and Xi'an XD High Voltage Apparatus Co., Ltd. And undertakes the revision and adoption of country profession standard committee GB, and is also routine vice- director unit of China Electric Apparatus Association Insulating Material Branch.
