Wuxi Scientific Research & Designing Institute of the State Administration of Grain Reserve which is under the State Administration of Grain of the People's Republic of China was set up with the approval of the State Science Committee in 1964. It is a comprehensive research & designing institute with a view of developing research for application and undertaking of designing of complete set of project for grain milling industry in China. The institute is granted with several certificates for consultation service, designing qualification. It has passedthe appraisal of Quality Management System as ISO 9001. The institute is staffed with nearly 200 people including about 150 senior and middle engineers.

Since its founding the Institute has been successively undertaken and accomplished the scientific researching key projects for 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th National Five -Year Plans. The projects of Spark Plan and other important scientific researching projects of Ministry and Province. It has gained more than 200 technical achievements of which are 11 achievements offered national prizes (three of tmen are the prizes of National Scientific Conference, one prize of National Invention and seven prizes of National Technical Progress). More than 90 achievements are given the awards of Scientific & Technical achievement of Ministry. Province and Municipality. It has undertaken designing and contracted more than 1000 projects of single engineering or complete line of engineering. Among which 50 projects we worked on together with famous companies and international professional organizations in USA, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Holland. In addition 2 silver awards and 1 bronze award for National Excellent Designing more than 40 Excellent Designing Awards by the Ministry Province and Municipality. The Title of IIonor of Distinguished Institute is offered jointly by Cereal Ministry. Commerce Ministry and China Feed Industry Association. Since 15 years the Institute has been successively honored as Wuxi Excellent Scientific Research & Designing Institute by Wuxi Municipality. The Quality of Cereal & Oil Products Testing & Monitoring Center of the State Administration of Grain P. R. China and the Food Branch of P. R. China Cereal & oil and Food Association both are under the administration of the Institute.
