They are excellent compatibility with resin, quick wet out property, easily fills mold and conforms to complex shapes. They are also high mechanical strength and high wet strength retention.
The weight of the continuous strand mats is from 200g/m2 to 600g/m2. They are suitable for compression molding, RTM, and pultrusion processes! And pultrusion is a continuous process able to produce full or hollow, glass reinforced, profiles of different shapes.
And needle mats and the combination mats are usually used in FRP, RTM and hand lay-up!
