WEP oil skimmers can recover up to 40 m3 of heavy oil per hour.Oil Skimmer is constructed from 316, Marine grade stainless steel.Pipe and fittings are made from Polypropylene.The flexible sock and self-adjusting weir are nylon-reinforced silicone.Floatation for the flexible sock is closed cell cross-linked polystyrene.The above-mentioned materials have been tested to withstand high temperatures and a wide variety of solvents and hydrocarbon-based materials as well as salt and caustic solutions.
