1. The most advanced Japanese Fengdong SPERAI-212 vacuum multipurpose heat treatment continuous furnace sets are adopted for heat treatment, namely quenching and tempering treatment. Its hardening and tempering sets are used for hardening and tempering under a vacuum condition, which ensure hardenability and reasonable obdurability of workpieces, no oxide skin on the surfaces of the workpieces, and uniform hardness, stable organizational structures and good comprehensive mechanical properties of the workpieces. By the hardening and tempering sets, the workpieces have standard mechanical properties and machinabilities, grains are refined, and organizational defects are avoided.

2. Threads of drill pipe joints are machined by precision CNC thread lathes, which ensure geometric dimensioning of the joints and strictly control the single parameter of geometric dimensioning, shapes, surface roughness, precision, circular arc dimensions of dedendal, and comprehensive dimensions of threads.

3. The surfaces of the threads are protected by phosphating or copper-plating technologies. They are phosphated by a zinc-manganese phosphating solution and copper-plated by an electrolytic copper technology. The thickness of copper-plating and phosphate coatings is strictly controlled. The tightness of the joints is stronger. The joints are not fastened. The service life of the joints is prolonged.
