In 1984, China's first pressed copper tube fitting was born in Tianli, which filled the blank and ended the situation that China always had to import such products from abroad. Further more, it started the application of cooper water tube industry in China and provided the technical basis for the reconstruction of water tubs system in China.

Tianli carried out the Chinese national standard for copper tube fittings, GB/T11318 in 1989, and later the industrial standard for copper tubes for construction, CJ/T117 which has become an important technical support for the design, installation and supervision of water supply and drainage in construction projects, and has expedited the progress of material revolution in the water supply and drainage construction industry.

Tianli fulfilled many technical problem-solving tasks for national key projects, such as Long March II Carrier Rocket, Shenzhou II Space Shuttle, Sea-Air Guided-Missile Submarine, Radio Telescope of Chinese Academy of Science, High Frequency Transmission Pipe of the Ministry of Broadcasting and Television. Tianli has accumulated scientific know-how and practical experience on copper tube forming technology which has been a solid foundation for production of high quality and low coast copper tubes and fittings, and has provided technical support for the national major copper tube projects.
