North Ship & Ocean Engineering Co., Ltd. (NSO for short)established in 1993, is the biggest professional thickness gauging company in China, operating as a specialist in non-destructive test (NDT) and ship repairing service to the marine industry and offshore companies.

The corporation has become the principal service power for ocean ship's repair in each domestic port, anchorage or dry-dock by means of natural advantages and its sufficient professionals since 1996.

In 1998, the corporation has been approved by DNV&. ISO9001, which made its development concept clearer and, took carrying on repair work for domestic and external ships as well as offering non-destructive test(NTD) in the first place. By the year of 1999, the corporation had obtained the certificates issued by ABS\BV\CCS\GL\KR\LR\NK\DNV\IRS\RINA&RS for our equipments&services. And had successfully carried out thickness gauging for more than 1500 vessels. By 2000, we have owned more than 100 Chief Engineers, Engineers, Electric Engineers and professional Thickness gauging engineers who graduated from Dalian Maritime University of China, Haerbin Engineering University, Wuhan Science&Technology University and other relevant shipping engineering institutes and all of who are experienced in the same field. We herewith have supplied annual or voyage repair for about 1, 000 vessels or times. Besides, most of our engineers or technicians possess seaman certificates and hence could work along the voyage as requested by the owners.

NSO has grown up out of a poly-operation organization specializing in ship's repair and supply of equipment or spare parts used for vessels, now bends itself to the safety of ocean ships all over the world and the control of the maritime pollution caused by ships.
