Southwest Medical Equipment Co., Ltd, formerly known as Shanghai Precision Medical Equipment Factory, China in 1952, successfully developed the first 200 mA X-ray medical diagnostic machine (named "National Number "). The whole company moved from Shanghai to Sichuan in 1970, and later renamed the Southwest Neijiang Medical Equipment Factory. In 1980 launched the China's first 500 mA X-ray machines for medical diagnosis, which filled the gaps in the domestic product. In 2002 the Southwest Medical Equipment Factory was combined into the Four Seas Group, and the same year, the Four Seas Group integrate Southwest Medical Equipment Factory and founded the Southwest Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. More than sixty years passed, during the company's developing process, supported by Four Seas group and all levels of leadership, the former central leadership Deputy Prime Minister Tian, the State Pharmaceutical Administration Deputy Director Shi Huan, China Medical Device Industry Corporation General Manager Wang Guoli, all levels Sichuan province leaders have personally inspected the company and given their guidance.

The company has grown to be one of pillars of medical diagnostic X-ray machines production enterprises both in China and in the Chinese medical device industry.

Southwest Medical Equipment Co., Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Four Seas Group. Registered capital of 100 million RMB, the legal representative of the company is Sun Gang and current general manager is Lee Dan. The company mainly products are medical diagnostic X-ray machine and accessory equipment, at the same time, manages the export business of enterprise products and import business of mechanical equipment, spare parts, raw and accessory materials.

In 2005, the digital medical diagnostic X-ray machine development and production base, located in Chengdu National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, covered 200 acres of land, totally invested 200 million RMB, has been completed.

In recent years the company developed a new type of remote diagnosis machine that the tube on the upper bed, high-frequency series of X-ray machines, digital radiography line-scan X-ray machine, digital hanger system flat panel DR, U-shaped arm flat panel DR and mobile DR. The company has medical diagnostic X-ray machine more than 70 varieties of six series.
