Bekaert Textiles NV, with headquarters in Belgium, Waregem, is a fully integrated producer of interior textiles with own spinning, polypropylene extrusion, preparation and dyeing of warp and weft, weaving, knitting and finishing. Bekaert Textiles has production units in Belgium, Eastern Europe, USA, Mexico, Argentina, Australia and China. Since 1992, Bekaert Textiles is part of the Dutch Gamma Holding Group.

Bekaert Textiles is world leader in the manufacturing and sales of high end jacquard mattress ticking and knitting and is active on markets such as wall textiles, fabrics for outdoor furniture, fabrics for prams, pushchairs and car seats.

Since 1996, Bekaert Textiles is active in mainland China. Through a local agent in Beijing and Shanghai, we were the first Western producer of woven jacquard mattress ticking to introduce mattress fabrics on the Chinese market. The market was growing fast and in 2000 we opened our own trading and distribution center in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone. During those 5 years we imported fabrics from Belgium and distributed them on the Chinese market.

In 2003, Bekaert Textiles (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., a 100% daughter company from Bekaert Textiles NV, was established. The production unit in Wuxi is Bekaert Textiles' first production unit in Asia and is specialised in production and sales of jacquard woven mattress fabrics and fabrics for pushchairs and car seats for the Chinese and Asian markets.
