Qinghai Sanjiang Yili Agriculture Co., Ltd, integrating processing of agricultural and pastoral products with breeding and sales of livestock, is a modern enterprise combining R & D of plateau agricultural and animal husbandry, construction of industrial development capacity, project management, and engineering planning with platform operation. In August, 2009, this company was set up with a registering capital of 35 million Yuan, jointly founded by Guangzhou Jiahe Trade Co., Ltd and American Yili Agricultural (Group) Company. Since then, it has been committed to the research and development of circling-economy-based production material, production technology and agricultural and livestock produce. This company and South China University of Technology have collaborated in developing biological forage (fresh-keeping and nutritious bread grass branded "TuoKangSuo") and bio-organic fertilizer branded "TuoFuSuo" which plays a leading part domestically. Through the production practices in terms of planting, breeding and processing of farming and livestock produce, it has gained obvious effects in upgrading land structures, improving the fertility and production of the land, increasing comprehensive efficiency of both farming and raising as well as lifting the quality of natural green food.

Qinghai Plateau Organically Planting and Breeding Comprehensive Processing Demonstration Base of Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Cycling Economy, sponsored by Qinghai Sanjiang Yili Agriculture Co., Ltd, is located in the outskirts of Huangyuan county, 1 km away from the town area, covering a land area of 146 mu with 25, 000 square meters of construction area. It has 102 people working there, including 16 administrative personnel, 13 technicians. The total investment of this project is 123 million Yuan, of which the investment in fixed assets and floating capital are 65.3 million Yuan and 57.7 million Yuan respectively. It is estimated to be finished by the year 2012.

This base attaches greater attention to the project of fresh-keeping nutritious bread grass processing, with quality grass-planting as its guarantee and those projects as its support, namely, organic breeding, fertilizer processing, marsh gas producing & supplying, livestock product deep-processing and top-end marketing. The production capacity of bread grass will be up to 70, 000 tons, with 42 million Yuan of annual sales revenue and 3.9997 million Yuan of net profit; After the beef cattle raising base's being completed, there will be 10, 000 cattle and 700 calf annually, with a sales revenue of 502.37 million Yuan and net profit of 7.25 million; The organic fertilizer project will reach a production capacity of 20, 000 tons, with annual sales revenue and profit up to 15.93 million Yuan and 5.5 million respectively. Other projects may realize profit of some 2 million Yuan. After all the projects of 5 functional sectors in the base are finished and up to the production capacity, the sales revenue will amount to 83.6 million Yuan with 19.47 million of profit, which will increase efficiency of farming and livestock to 200.619 million Yuan with newly-added revenue of 12.54 million for the farmers and herdsmen involving in this project, newly-increased taxation of 12.3654 million. This project offers 1500 jobs for farms, herdsmen and graduates. By training 20, 000 local farmers and herdsmen, it can greatly improve the integrated quality and operation capacity of them. The smooth implementation of this project will bring out good economic, social and biological results.
