Yunnan Phosphorus Group Co., Ltd.(YunPhos) has been specialized in manufacturing and exporting phosphorus chemicals, especially yellow phosphorus since its establishment in 1989. From the year 1997, the quantity of yellow phosphorus exported by YunPhos accounts more than one third of total quantity exported from China and half of the quantity from Yunnan province, which promoted YunPhos to be the biggest exporter of yellow phosphorus among all the suppliers in China. In the year 2002, YunPhos became strategic partner of Rhodia, the largest consumer of yellow phosphorus in the world, by entering joint venture to produce 16,000MT of yellow phosphorus annually.

Production capacity of the three subsidiary yellow phosphorus plants amounts 55,000MT per year of yellow phosphorus and 5,500MT per year of ferro phosphorus, which guarantees stable and reliable sources of YunPhos. Arsenic content of yellow phosphorus varies from 30ppm to 150ppm, controllable for different demands of customer. With direct yellow phosphorus supply from its plants, YunPhos keeps developing value-added phosphorus derivatives. Steps include entering joint venture with Italmatch Chemicals SPA, Italy to produce 1,500MT of red phosphorus and setting up its own phosphoric acid plant in Fangcheng, a seaport in South of China to produce 60,000MT of phosphoric acid each year. Has established and implemented a quality management system in compliance with Quality Management System Standard of ISO9002, it is our pride that the products we manufacture enjoy the highest quality and have been appraised among the customers.

Though locates in an inland province, YunPhos keeps large storage in seaports to guarantee punctual and prompt shipments. The storage reduces reliability on inland transportation condition and avoids non-execution of contracts even in case of flood or typhoon. Besides supplying traditional drum-packed material, YunPhos operates the largest fleet of yellow phosphorus specialty ISO-tank containers in China and supplies bulk shipments of phosphoric acid by tanker vessels with its phosphoric acid storage tank system in Fangcheng port, Guangxi province. Compared with drum packaging, the multi-modal transport system improves safety and efficiency, reduces cost, and brings with it the benefits of environment protection.
