Established in March, 2001, Xian XD Switchgear Electric Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as 'Xian Switchgear Electric') is a subsidiary of China XD Electric Co., Ltd. Its predecessor, Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Works and the reformed Xi'an Shiky High Voltage Electric Co., is one of the 156 important construction projects during the first five-year plan in China. By succeeding and developing the advanced product, process and inspection technology as well as on the basis of strict quality management system of Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Works, Xian Switchgear Electric adheres to independent creation and continuous improvement of product and technology. Consecutively, it has passed the integral certification of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18000. In 2006 and 2007, gas insulated switchgear (GIS) and SF6 gas circuit breaker (GCB) with XD brand won the titles of "China Top Brand" respectively.

Xian Switchgear Electric is a national research, developing and production base of ultra high, extra high and high voltage switchgears ranging from 72.5~1100kV. So far our company has totally supplied for the market more than 12000 bays of GIS and 14000 units of CB. 550kV GIS has been successfully in service in China Three-Gorge-Project, and 800kV dead tank CB and GIS, 1100kV GIS has been in service in China.
