Despite the recent reversal of fortunes in the aircraft industry, as demonstrated at the Paris trade show, Asia continues to be a bright spot. In June 2009, airbus announced that the luxury-class a320 prestige jet had found its first private owner from Asia.

While the company has not released the identity of the customer in question, it is not shy about singing the praises of the jet. Airbus says the a320 prestige has the largest cabin in its class, which is fully customizable of course.

Aside from creature comforts and space, the a320 prestige also boasts industry standard fly-by-wire controls, time and cost-saving centralised maintenance, and weight-saving materials such as carbonfiber.
