Founded and headquartered in Hong Kong since 1977, IDT now operates in over ten key economies in the region and around the world. The application of state-of-the-art liquid crystal display(LCD) technology to the Group's products is a key success factor. The Group's product development strategy is to apply LCD and microprocessor technology to an increasing variety of products to enhance their performance and efficiency in consumer use.

The Group has four cores product manufacturing and marketing businesses. The largest business is now a separate corporate entity listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited as IDT Holdings (Singapore) Limited which designs and manufactures a wide range of LCD-based consumer electronic products (electronic measuring and timing devices, health care and other products).

Other designed and manufactured products of the Group are in three separate products divisions, namely the electronic personal information products (electronic organizers, databanks, Personal Digital Assistants, translators and related stationery products), Electronic Learning Products and the telecommunication products (cordless telephones and accessories). All products invariably feature LCD and microprocessor applications.

The Group's products are marketed worldwide to a broad customer base which is served by offices in Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Denmark); in the United States; and the Asia Pacific (Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and the PRC). International marketing is supported by product development and our corporate head-office in Hong Kong, with manufacturing facilities in the PRC.
