MAE Wellful Industries Co., Ltd (MWI) is a subsidiary company of Modern Agricultural Equipment Co. Ltd. (MAE). It was established In May 18, 2012 based on the complete staff, facilities and business of Poultry and Livestock Equipment Business Unit (PLEBU) of MAE whose dominating share holder is Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences (CAAMS).

Owned by the central government of China, CAAMS is the biggest high-tech enterprise for supplying agricultural machinery technology for manufacturing plants as well as equipment for customers in China. Founded on Oct. 23 1956, CAAMS have been playing a very important role in the development of China's agricultural mechanization. From her foundation to 2011, CAAMS have totally completed research and development work for more than 3000 agricultural equipment for Chinese government with 2188 having successful achievements. Based on these, over 2000 projects were finished and numerous farm machines supplied for the end users at the same time. Having many subsidiary companies, in 2011 CAAMS totally employ a staff over 5000 among which more than 1600 are intellectuals. As the owner of total assets of RMB$5, 820 million, CAAMS made a turnover of RMB$4, 047 million In 2011.

As a comprehensive academy, CAAMS was organized in the form of 15 research institutes each working on a specialized area at the beginning. Founded in 1976, Poultry and Livestock Equipment Research Institute (PLERI) of CAAMS have been engaging in RD, consulting, technical service, manufacturing and marketing of equipment and engineering projects related to poultry and livestock farming. In the wake of China's Reform, Modern Agricultural Equipment Co. Ltd. (MAE) was formed by CAAMS and other 3 companies in 2001 with CAAMS having a share over 90%. Except for investing some capital, CAAMS also invested the assets of 5 research institutes and 1 manufacturing plant into MAE. PLERI were one of them and renamed as Poultry and Livestock Equipment Business Unit (PLEBU) of MAE. Since her founding, MAE have been running the way that her biggest share holder CAAMS do. It features that their speciality business units were treated as profit centers with each working on one specialized area.

With decades' experience of RD, consulting, technical service, manufacturing and marketing of equipment and engineering projects related to animal farming, MWI, the inheritor of PLERI, are mainly working on the following fields: Feed milling equipment and projects; Animal farming equipment and projects; Organic fertilizer processing equipment and projects; Forage / silage / biomass processing equipment and projects; Consulting, design and supervision for customers and governmen.
