Nanjing Sanchao Diamond Tools Co., Ltd was founded in January 1999, with a registered captial of RMB35m and an operating area of 20, 000 square meters, of which 10, 000 square meters were set aside for buildings. The company specialises in research and development into and manufacturing of all kinds of diamond and CBN tools, which are used extensively in the PV and Semiconductor industries for the cutting, grinding and polishing of silicon, sapphire, quartz, neodymium iron, boron, ferrrite materials, ceramics, glass, hard alloy and hard brittle materials. The description "people oriented and technology in lead" has been valid from the very first day of the company's foundation, with many overseas experts working within the organisation since then, including Japanese experts, in collaboration with whom the company successfully established an R&D centre for tools capable of cutting "super hardness" materials. During recent years, the company has developed backing grinding wheels, edge grinding wheels, micro blades, Pad CMP disks and a superior quality electroplated diamond wire saw for use by the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries.
