Ningbo Kaseen Arts and Crafts Co., Ltd. is an export-oriented enterprise engaged in iris planting and processing, and integrating agriculture, industry, science and trade. The Company was founded at the beginning of 1996. Through these years of development, now it has total assets RMB 167 million yuan. Annual sales volume reaches RMB 150 million. Respectively in 2001, 2002 and 2004, it was appraised as "Leading agricultural enterprise in Ningbo", "Leading agricultural enterprise in Zhejiang", and "Key leading agricultural enterprise of national grade". At the moment, the company has six categories of products and over 100 varieties. Iris products of "Kaseen" brand successively won the titles of "Famous brand product in Ningbo" and "Famous brand product in Zhejiang". Continuously for three years since 2001, "Kaseen" iris product was awarded the "Golden prize in Zhejiang International Agriculture Expo".
To promote the development of iris planting, to increase the studying ability of iris products, and to guarantee the long-term development of enterprise, Kaseen Company set up the "Research Center" on Sep. 3 of 2002 authorized by Yinzhou Scientific and Technologic Bureau. In 2003, the project of "Popularization of cultivating technique of iris with high quality and high yield" jointly run by the center and Gaoqiao Town Agriculture Office was listed in National Grade Star Plan. Since the establishment of research center, it has been appraised as "Private scientific and technologic institute in Ningbo" and "Excellent base for scientific and technologic research". On this basis, the company has been certified as "Hi-tech enterprise in Yinzhou District" and "Hi-tech enterprise in Ningbo" respectively in 2003 and 2004.

To further bring into play the radiating effect of leading agricultural enterprise, and increase the yield of agriculture, as well as increase the income of farmers, the company levied a land in Dajia Village of Gulin Town with area 130mu for construction of Iris Industrial City. The project plans to complete and put into operation at the end of 2004. Meanwhile, the Research Center of Iris and Relevant Products cooperates with scientific academies, colleges and universities for speeding up technical reform and introduction, and to improve the competitive force of products.

In addition, with fast development of Internet, the company uses information technique internally, and strengthens the construction of enterprise informatization. A platform for communication and popularization of agricultural information is set up to timely send the studying fruits to all farmers and enterprises. At the beginning of 2004, our company was appraised as "Trial unit for agricultural informatization in Ningbo".
