Jilin Tonghua Pesticide & Chemical Stock Co., Ltd. is the former Tonghua Pesticide Factory. The factory was founded in 1965, and at that time was the only pesticide factory in Jinlin Province. The company now have 208 staff members, including 59 technical staff. The company covers a land of 102, 000 square meters, with construction area of 26, 000 square meters. The asset of the company is 51.06 million RMB yuan. At present is has the largest production scale among Urea pesticide ma-nufacturers in China, and is the designated pesticide manufacturer of the Chemical Ministry. In 1997 it was awarded as "High and New Techology Enterprise of Jinlin Province". It is among the top 30 for its profit and tax in petro-chemical line of Jinlin Province.

In 1984 and 1994, the Science Commission of the country and the Chemical Ministry respectively invested 2 million RMB yuan and 14.76 million RMB yuan into the company, helping to establish two production lines for Chlorbenzuron and Triflumuron, which has an annual production capability of 500 tons. The company now has 3 sets of pesticide production lines, and can manufacture 5000 tons of suspension, wetable power, and emulsion.
