Founded in 1995, Shanxi Tangrong Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of the Ordnance Industry Group. In 1998, it underwent restructuring and was separated from its parent company. In 2009, it completed its shareholding reform and became a joint-stock company. The company has a registered capital of 130 million yuan and covers an area of over 630 mu (approximately 400 acres). It has an annual production capacity of 535, 000 tons of casting design products. It is the only technical center in the Shanxi casting industry, holding a total of 96 invention patents and utility model patents, including 1 U. S. Invention patent. It is among the first batch of IATF16949: 2016 certification enterprises. The company's sales network covers North America, South America, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Africa. It is a key supplier to major domestic heavy truck manufacturers such as Sichuan FAW, Shaanxi FAW, China National Heavy Duty Truck, and Beijing Foton. It holds over 80% of the domestic bus market and is the exclusive supplier to three major bus manufacturers: Zhengzhou Yutong, Suzhou Jinlong, and Xiamen Jin
