HID lamp also called high intensity gas discharge lamp, is a new type vehicle headlight filled with xenon gas. The xenon lamp is of low power consumption, with a HID lamp of 35 watts being able to produce the luminous flux three times as a halogen lamp of 55 watts, up to 3000-5000 lumen and raising the light effect and the luminance by 3 times. The color temperature of the light discharged by the HID xenon is very close to the one of the sunlight, thus offering broader, more comfortable and clearer driving environment for drivers. So it can reduce eyestrain and ensure traffic safety.

HID xenon lamp has no filament and it utilizes the electron between the two electrodes to stimulate the gas to give out light, so it has long life-span, which is 10 times of general halogen lamp, being up to more than 3, 000 hours.
