Our company (HOE), a high and new technique business enterprise, dedicated to the research, development, manufacturing of compound semiconductor epitaxy materials and optoelectronics devices, was located in the national class Ji'nan High-Tech Development Zone. The main products include red/orange/yellow/yellow green high brightness LED and 650/635/808nm LD epitaxy wafers, chips and devices.

The purpose of the company foundation is to assume and carry out the plan to solve the key technique problems before mass production related to the Industrialization of Semiconductor Optoelectronic Materials and Chips, which is issued by the National Economy Plan Committee. The characteristic of this plan is using education combined with production and research model.
HOE is located in the central district of Jinan High and New Technology Development Zone, occupies over 25 thousand square meter field. Over 5000 square meter workshop has been built. There are over 269 employees at the end of 2006. The production issue is carried out by two departments, Epitaxy Department and Chip Department. We also have Technique Development Department, Market Department, Support Department(charged with tools repair and maintenance, power and D. I. Water supply, waste water treatment and air conditioner maintenance issues), Qaulity&Technology Department, Financial Department(govern Depot Department) and General Office(govern Human Source Department and Safeguard Department).

HOE has passed the ISO9001 quality system attestation, is a Shandong Province High and New Technique Enterprise, a standing member of Optoelec. Sub. Committee of COEMA, a member of Solid-State Lighting Technical Standard Group of the Ministry of Information Industry. A provincial research center, Shandong Province Optoelectronics Technology Research Center, was set up in HOE. HOE was appraised as Advanced Technique Group in Information Industry by the Ministry of Information Industry in August 2006.

HOE has a complete production line from material epitaxy to chip and device manufacturing. This production line includes Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD), High Vacuum Metal Deposition System, Lithographic Equipments, Chip-Bonding Machine, LED&LD Test Systems. HOE has the mass production of Optoelectronic Materials, Chips and Devices.

HOE is the only company that has one package development and production of LED, LD Epitaxy Material, Chips, Devices and related Application Systems. The products include HB-LED and LD Wafers, Chips, Devices. They are widely used in Outdoor Display, Traffic Signals, Communication, Data Storage, Laser Therapy, Indicator and Solid-State Lighting fields. The characteristics of the HB-LED can reach the first-class in the main land of China. The yield and market share of the LD Chips is ranked first in China.

As of this date, HOE has sustained consistently its annual business growth at 65 %. The LD laser chip is the largest yield and sales in mainland., at present. To meet the expansion of market demands and strengthen its services to customers, HOE constructed one new factory and production line inWeifang Hi-tech Development Zonein 2006 Based on the market and technique platform in hand, two bases will work together to reach the throughput as following in 5 years.

With continuous construction and development, HOE will expand the LED spectrum from RED/ORANGE to full color, expand the LD from 650/635/808 small power products to fiber communication and over 20W high power LD devices. Based on the efforts mentioned above, HOE will become the largest mass production base of HB-LED&LD Eptaxy Materials, Chips and Devices in China, become the first-class optoelectronics products development and production base and be the important member of the world-wide optoelectronics industry.
