Shanghai Automobile Import & Export Corp. (SACO) is an import and export company integrating industry with trade mainly dealing with automotive processing equipment, automotive parts and accessories, and other mechanical and electrical products. SACO is an affiliated foreign trade company to Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (GROUP) (SAIC), a large industrial industrial group which possesses more than 40 factories and enterprises with over 60, 000 staff members occupying an area of 5 million m2 and an annual turnover valued at about US$ 10 billion.
Until now, we have established import and export business relationship with industrial and business circles of about 60 countries and regions in the world. As a result, we have imported for our group advanced manufacturing technologies, a series of testing and inspection equipment and high precision machines from various vehicles, USA, Germany, Japan, Italy and etc.
We have also paid great attention to opening up international market. With several years developing, we have expanded from the traditional Southeast Asia market to USA, Europe, Middle East and South American markets. The export share to North American holds 45% of SACO export turnover. Its main products are DC Motor, Radiator, Water Pump Housing etc. Since 1997, we have extend the SAIC USA INC, which improved the business relationship between SAIC/SACO to GM and other company. Since 1999, SACO has provided Leaf Spring to GM Truck Group, marking the beginning of the biggest major OEM support business. SACO sited ATT on Hamburg Germany, which mainly engaged in SACO import business and its annual turnover reach to 10 millions DM and some projects(to VE etc) are on negotiation in the OEM supply to global automotive giants.
We kept on growing on the sharp competition. Among the Top 500 Enterprise published by MOFTEC, we ranked 393 and is in front of the new chance to enter WTO. According the goal of Group Internationalization, SACO is striving to make progess on export of automobile and its parts and accessories.
