We are specialized in producing Graphitized Petroleum Coke (GPC) Product. Our plant locates in Shangdu County, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Equipped with 16 sets electric furnaces, the GPC production capacity is 30, 000 MT per year. We are one of main professional supplier of anode material for Lithium Ion Battery for a Chinese famous Lithium Ion Battery producer, NINGBO SHANSHAN Co., Ltd. The raw material of GPC is calcined petroleum coke which is produced by our plant located in Houdengcun, Ziya Industirial Zone, Jinghai, Tianjin city. We have two calcining furnaces. The volatile matter, ash and moisture of green petroleum coke will be removed under the temperature 1, 500 centigrade, the extra heat from the calcining furnace will be collected for the utilization of producing other by-products. The calcined petroleum coke will then transported to our Shangdu plant for graphitizing. Our graphitizing furnace is the ring type furnace, we use the calcined petroleum coke as the furnace thermal insulation material. The graphitizing temperature is 2, 700 centigrade. The graphitizing temperature to be controlled by on line thermometer and temperature controlling system, the temperature can be measured on real-time and adjusted automatically. The Ring type graphitizing technology is energy saving, greatly reduced the production cost and diminished the loss. Comparing with Acheson type graphitization furnace, the Ring type furnace has many advantages.
The introduction on Acheson type graphitization furnace
Acheson type graphitization furnace is originally used to graphitize the electrode. It is not economic to use Acheson furnace to graphitize the green petroleum coke because its production process is in non-continuous process. About 11% of volatile material will be evacuated into the air from the furnace, so it is energy waste and will cause great air pollution and made the production environment become very poor. The upper layer of the material will be oxidized severely, and the temperature at both side of furnace is distributed unevenly, therefore the productivity is low. The main thermal insulation material is coke powder, the carbon content is only around 80%, it will cause the contamination during the loading and unloading of furnace. Also the Acheson type furnace cost much labor cost, give low yielding rate, hard to control the quality. In summary, the Acheson type furnace is energy consuming, high pollution type of production technology. The power consumption per MT is 2, 800kwh.
