The company originally called Qingjiang I & S Works was founded in Oct, 1970, and in 1986 it was named Huaiyin Metallurgical Industry Company. In 1996 the system changed it became a state-owned holding company Jiangsu Huaigang Group Co., Ltd, and taking it as a center, a provincial enterprise group Jiangsu Huaigang Group was established.
