PureMix and PureMix II are two blends of long chain dibasic acids (C10-C13) used as a corrosion inhibitor in metalworking fluids and cooling fluids when neutralized with ethanol amines. Both products are over 97% long chain dibasic acids. PureMix has the best corrosion resistance when soft water is used to dilute. PureMix II provides nearly the same corrosion resistance and better hard water stability. Both products are distributed worldwide and are inventoried in China, US and Europe. The PureMix products are part of the total diacid solution offered by Cathay that includes Undecanedioic acid (DC11P), which is the best single diacid for corrosion resistance, and dodecanedioic acid (DC12S or DC12P) used by many companies.
