Commodity plastics are generic products that are bought and sold in bulk at prices very much in line with the market price of oil from which all plastics are derived.

Engineering plastics are sophisticated value added products that are formed by applying different chemical processes to the base resin to give it different characteristics in order to meet various specific applications. As engineering plastics must conform to stringent technical specifications, they usually command a higher and more stable price relative to general-purpose commodity plastics.

Many of the industrial products sold by the companies are supplied by major overseas manufacturers with established brand names, including Du Pont, Rhodia, MEP, Teijin, Dow Chemical, Toray, LG Chem, Hyosung, etc.
