China National Materials Industry Import & Export Corporation, as the foreign trade window of China National Materials Industry Group Corporation, is the only import and export corporation dealing specially in non-metallic materials, manufactures, high-tech materials and its processing technology and equipments in China.

The predecessor of China National Materials Industry Group Corporation is China National Non-metallic Minerals Industry Corporation (Group), founded in 1983, which is a central corporation managed directly by Stated-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, is the only large corporation group engaging in nonmetallic materials and manufactures with integration of science, industry and trade in China. China National Materials Industry Group Corporation is now in possession of "three dominant industries" and "six core technologies" which represents the highest technology level of non-metallic material industry and building material industry in China. The "three dominant industries" are non-metallic new material industry, project construction industry and non-metallic mineral extraction industry. The "six core technologies" are glass fiber technology, FRP/composite technology, artificial crystal technology, industrial ceramics technology, new type dry-process cement production technology and equipment, and nonmetallic mineral manufacture technology.
