Founded in January 1985 and headquartered in Beijing, with a registered capital of RMB 50 million, the Beijing Automotive Industry Import & Export Corporation (hereinafter referred to as BAIC IEC or the Company) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beijing Automotive Industry Group Co., Ltd. (BAIC Group for short) and a specialized institution and external window by which the BAIC Group develops its foreign trade, economic and technical cooperation and technical introduction. Currently, BAIC IEC has set up an array of branches and overseas resident trading institutions.

BAIC IEC specializes in the domestic and overseas trading of auto parts and automotive relevant products, the import and export of such material objects as complete sets of electromechanical equipment, CBU, auto parts, auto repair tools, motor pumps, lighting fixtures, hardware & household appliances and so on, the import and export of technologies, the parallel import of automobiles (including sedan cars), the domestic sales of electromechanical products, contracting of foreign aid bidding projects and more.

Over the past 30 years, BAIC IEC has actively expanded its business and made constant progress in different business sectors. To date, it has set foot in such markets as the USA, the EU, Russia, Japan, SE Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, South America, Africa and so on, and forged steady trading and cooperative relations with clients in more than 50 countries and regions all over the world. Since it passed the ISO9001 quality management system certification in 2005, the Company has consistently observed the requirements of the quality management system to standardize its operation. As a result, its performance indicators have maintained fast-rate growth for several years, with an annual import & export value reaching US$250 million.
