Clay saggers only have a life cycle of around 3 times and our SiC saggers can last more than 100 times;

SiC saggers conduct heat much better than Clay ones, thus reducing the reduction time in DRI production and energy consumption as well;

SiC Saggers can be made in much bigger diameter than clay ones, thus increase the per unit volume to avoid space waste;

SiC sagger scrap (when the life cycle is reached) can be sold to steel plant as deoxidizer and clay sagger scrap has no value and the disposal of which costs money as well;

The per time use cost of SiC saggers is much lower than clay saggers, additionally, transportation and labor cost is saved due to the longer life cycle of SiC saggers.

Due to the advantage of lower investment, lower maintainance cost and less pollution, DRI production via tunnel kiln method is gaining a lot of popularity in recent years, and the price gap between iron ore lump/pellets (used in rotary kiln) and iron ore fine (used in tunnel kiln) in some coutries has made DRI production via tunnel kiln method (iron ore fine reduced in reaction container inside tunnel kiln) unquestionable first choice.
