Shanghai ELECTRIC-SPX Engineering & Technologies Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "SEC-SPX") is a strategic joint venture established by Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. And the SPX Group of the United States. As a subsidiary of Shanghai Electric Power Station Group, the company aims to provide technologically advanced air-cooled systems for China and select international power and petrochemical markets. SPX is a global leader in innovative cooling system solutions for power stations. Founded in December 2011 and headquartered in Shanghai, Shanghai Electric SPX also operates a branch in Beijing. Following its establishment, the joint venture acquired SPX's global air-cooling technologies, project track records, and patents, while also sharing access to SPX Europe's latest air-cooling technologies and research achievements.

Shanghai Electric SPX's air-cooling products are widely used in coal-fired power plants, coal chemical industry, and petrochemical industries, as well as in renewable energy sectors such as solar thermal, biomass, geothermal, and combined cycle power generation.

To date, SPX air-cooling systems have been deployed in nearly 1, 000 projects worldwide, with nearly 200 projects completed in the Chinese market.

In 2016, SPX's air-cooling business in the United States was transferred to the Paharpur Group. Subsequently, the European parent company of the joint venture was renamed the SPG Group.
