Xi'an Filter Metal Materials Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter called XFMM ) established in 1993, which is one of the earliest R&D centers and factories for stainless steel fiber, metal fiber media and sintered mesh in domestic market. The predecessor of XFMM is Powder Metallurgy Research Institute, one part of Northwest Institute for Nonferrous Metal Research (NIN). But now, XFMM is a shareholding company, Western Metal Materials Co., Ltd. (WMM) accounting for 51 percent of the share, while the employee accounting for 49 percent.

Up to now, there are RMB 120 million assets and over 160 instruments in XFMM, in the factory of 21, 000 square meters. There are more than 220 employees on the job in XFMM, among them over 35 people are professors, senior engineers and masters.

XFMM has undertaken two items of state key industrial projects, one item of State High-tech Research and Development Plan (863 Program). The metal fiber and metal fiber media have been awarded as the second prize for State Technological Progress and the first prize for Ministry Technological Progress. What's more, the two products were conferred as State Important New Products. XFMM has also got more than ten patents and drafted one National Standard Specification for Stainless Steel Fiber Media. It was identified as high-tech enterprise in 2009, and got ISO9001: 2008 quality system certification.

XFMM has imported a large quantity of advanced production and inspection equipments, to manufacture metal fiber, metal fiber media, sintered mesh and other metal porous media. By the end of 2011, XFMM has already reached an annual capacity of 300 tons fibers and 150, 000 square meters sintered metal fiber media and meshes, becoming the largest domestic industrialization base and the second largest in the world. Due to advanced quality, its products have been widely applied in filtration industry, such as chemical fiber, petroleum, spinning, environment protection, automobile, electronics and so on.

Based on its present industrialization of fiber and filter elements, XFMM will continuously develop and expand its industrial capacity by fully making use of the advanced technology, high quality professional employees and advanced equipments, so as to maintain its outstanding competitiveness and try the best to meet the requirements of the customer both at home and abroad.
