Shenzhen Vivolight Medical Device & Technology Co., Ltd., jointly founded by Xi'an Institute of Optical Precision Instruments of the Chinese Academy of Science and several well-known venture capitals from Shenzhen and Xi'an, is one of the first high-tech enterprises specialized in optical coherence tomography (OCT) system research and development, manufacture and service.

The company was established in August 2012. The R&D team, which was from OCT Imaging Laboratory of Tsinghua University, is the first team working on OCT technology research in China. The core team has more than five years of experience in OCT research, and has developed the China's first frequency domain three-dimensional OCT (3D-OCT) for ophthalmological clinical diagnosis in 2008. In 2010, they developed a hand-held OCT equipment, which was the first one applied in ophthalmic operation test globally, in cooperation with Tianjin Chasowa Electronic. We are featured with OCT technologies and have independently developed a number of core technologies and components for OCT applications, ranging from clinical ophthalmophy, medical endoscopy, industrial examination, to scientific research. The product lines include ophthalmic OCT system, endoscopic OCT system, projection vein finder system and super micron endoscopic imaging system.

Vivolight has a long-term cooperation with many universities, institutes and industrial companies both domestically and internationally. In 2012 and 2013, it has been established as Master of engineering practice base for Tsinghua University, joint training base for Harbin Institute of Technology and Shenzhen Graduate School, and master practice base for The University of Hong Kong. In addition, the company and Xi 'an Institute of Optical Precision Machinery of the Chinese academy of science have jointly established the OCT and biological medical imaging engineering center. It dedicates to the application of endoscopic OCT and system research and development, therefore builds an innovative mode of production, academy and research, facilitating industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. Vivolight and its partners have complete and powerful endoscopic OCT technology research and development, and is currently China's first company with capability to develop a complete cardiovascular OCT imaging system.
