Shanghai Pengpu Machine Building Plant Co., Ltd. is a large state-owned enterprise that manufactures construction machinery and metallurgical &mining equipment. It was founded in 1959 and occupied 320, 000m3 in the Shanghai Pengpu Industrial Area with more than 1300 workers. The fix asset is up to 155million Yuan (18.8 million USD). The plant was powered with strong technical force, possessing more than 1, 000 main machines which include lots of imported sophistical machines such as CNC process-center, CNC hob sharpening machines, CNC cutting machine, welding robot and so on. Now, the plant has got the ISO9000 certificate.

The main products of the plant are track bulldozers including PD120-88kw, PD140-104kw, PD165Y-123kw, PD220Y-162kw, PD320-239kw, PD410-306kw, as well as derived products, and excavator including SW200LC-3-0.8m3, SW210LC-3-0.9m3, SW210LC-5, SW230LC-5-1.1m3, metallurgical &mining milling equipment. The PD320Y is produced according to the imported technology of Komatsu D155A and can be attached by various equipment. The machine was awarded as the "high quality products" by the Machine Industry Ministry(MIM) in 1985, the "important technology progress" in 1987, the "high quality products" by the MIM as well as the "high quality export products" by the Shanghai Authority in 1989 and the "famous products" by the MIM in 1997. The PD6Y is produced according to the imported technology of Caterpillar D6D. The SH-410 is so far the most powerful bulldozer in China and is produced according to the technology of Komatsu D355A.
