Shanghai Hewei Rubber Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. was formerly known as Sino-Malaysia Rubber Equipment Engineering Co., Ltd., a company founded both by China and Malaysia. The earlier one was launched in 1992, and then grew into a joint venture with advanced technology, specializing in rubber mechanical equipment manufacture and large and medium-sized rubber mechanical repair.

Subsequently, the year 1998 witnessed its transition to a nongovernmental company, Shanghai Hewei Rubber Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd., to conform with the market mechanism. The new company currently owns about 387 staffs and three subsidiary companies( Jiangyin Hewei Rubber Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. \Jiangyin Jinzheng Co., Ltd. \Suzhou Safe-Run Hiscent Co., Ltd. ), with 60 scientific and technical personnels and even 7 senior engineers within. The number of the technical personnels has exceeded 19% of the total number of the whole staffs.
