Yunnan Phosphate Fertilizer Industrial Co.,Ltd. (YPFIC) is a large-scale fertilizer enterprise within Chinese's Eighth Five-Year Plan and the largest phosphate fertilizer enterprise by using of foreign capital in Yunnan Province. YPFIC is located at Caopu, Anning in the west of Kunming city(42km to Kunming), with convenient transportation and communication. The completed first phase of the project has the production capacity of 60,000 t/y yellow phosphorus, 140,000t/y phosphoric acid( as P2O5), 200,000t/y granular triple superphosphate, and 200,000t/y compound fertilizer.
The total occupied area of YPFIC is 352.192 hectares, the three major products are yellow phosphorus (including raw material preparation, sintering), phosphoric acid, and granular triple superphosphate. Utilities and auxiliary facilities include water supply, steam supply, power supply, air separation and compression, maintenance, environmental protection, communication, railway, slag warehouse, and living facilities etc. The licensed techniques for yellow phosphorus, phosphoric acid, and granular triple superphosphate are imported from Techmashimport of Russia, UHDE of Germany, and Norsk Hydro of Norway, respectively.
Plant with capacity of 3,000t/y food grade phosphoric acid and 2,000t/y sodium hexametaphosphate has been constructed in the first phase project. Another plant with capacity of 50,000t/y sodium tripolyphosphate is going to be constructed. YPFIC will gradually become the base of phosphorus delicate process with various kinds and series of phosphorus products in the near future.
The second and third phase projects will be schedulled in future with capacity of 2,400,000t/y of compound phosphate fertilizer and of 400,000t/y of phosphorus chemicals products . YPFIC will become one of the advanced phosphorus chemical base in the world and contribute tremendously to the development of the national agricultural and economy of Yunnan Province.
