It was at the beginning of year 2003 when I met Prof. Liang in an alumni gathering of our university and heard about oxy-gasoline torch for the first time. Three liters of gasoline will do the same job as one cylinder of acetylene! In China, the fuel cost deduction is over 90%! In Japan, it is over 95%! Gasoline is available everywhere in every gas station! The torch is also environmental friendly, harmless to operators. I was fascinated by the distinguished features of oxy-gasoline torch.

But when I talked to a few friends from the machinery field, they all laughed. "It has been a century"s attempt to develop oxy-gasoline torches. People all failed and gave up. Stop day dreaming and try to find something practical! "

After a careful study on the prototype torches, the three of us, Prof. Liang, myself and Colin Lai started our adventure in this oPetrol business.
3 years have past. Our product has been developed from one single model cutting torch into a full line with cutting torch, welding torch, blowing torch, and CNC machine cutting torch. We have partners in Japan, America, Africa, and a few European countries.

Today our torch can use not only gasoline but also kerosene as fuel. Compare to gasoline, kerosene is safer and more economic. In 2005, oPetrol won China Excellent Quality Cutting and Welding Tool awards.
