In 1991, Fordpointer filed as a NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operation Common Carrier) with the Federal Maritime Commission of the United States. In addition, the company was granted the "Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers License" and the "International Freight Agency Licence" by the Ministry of Communications of the People's Republic of China.
