As the business for both the hydraulic tools and weighting instruments grew rapidly, the Progress Engineering Co., Ltd founded in June 1987 to handle the weighting instruments. Chungtie Engineering Co., , Ltd focus on tools and equipments for power transmission and distribution work. Later the company, with good relations, experiences, and skills in dealing with utility business, expanded the business to equipments and PPE for electrical safety and industrial market.
Foreseeing the opportunity in the China market, the founder decided to expand the business to China. In year 1994, Guangzhou Chungtie, the first branch company in China established in the Guangzhou City, South China as the first professional stocking distributor in China that supplied imported hydraulic tools for power transmission and distribution construction. Due to the rapid growth in the China market, the second branch company, the Shanghai Zhongdun Trading Co., Ltd founded in Shanghai in year 2002, and serves as the headquarter and the warehouse center in China.
