Steel wire Rope Factory of Anshan Iron & Steel Complex was built in 1939, has a long history of steel wire rope production, and is one of the large enterprises of metal industry in China, and an important manufacturer of wire ropes for the mining industry. Many kinds of steel wires and wire ropes, with the trademark of "Angang", produced by our factory, are widely used in many places of the whole country, and some of them have even entered international makers.

To meet the needs of the users for carbon dioxide gas-shielded welding wires, our factory imported a gas-shielded welding wire producing line from Italy in1989. Its production capacity is 5, 000 tons per year, and can make the products in compliance Depending on the superiority of Anshan Iron & Steel Complex as a whole, giving full play to the functions of quality guarantee system as a coordinated process, strictly carrying out the principle of "fine materials", our factory produces our products according to the Factory standards which are higher than the State Stadards. As a result, the quality of our products are guaranteed. Recent years, our products, triangular strand ropes and wire ropes for electric shovel, have won respectively a gold medal and a silver medal, and other six products are entitled as "Superior Quality" products at the ministerial and provincial level. The zinc-plated steel wire ropes have obtained the manufacturer approval of the China Classification Society (CCS).

To enlarge the varieties of our products and the production, from our original production capability of 35, 000 tons metal products per year, our factory has invested 145 million-yuan (YMB) for building a new area, to produce 35, 000 ton ropes for the mining industry. Its production technologies and equipments have reflected high startpoints, therefore, will guarantee that the quality of our products will be improved continuously.

Now our factory possesses 1, 742 people and owns84. 95 million yuan (YMB) of fixed assets. Occupies the area of 210, 000 square meters. With Anshan Iron & Steel Complex, our factory has become a First Class Enterprise and a First Class Metrology Unit, and is entitled as a "Clean Factory " by Liaoning Province and Ministry of Metallurgical Industry.
